I’m really super happy for him, it’s pretty funny how his wife tweeted the same two pics except a pic of her and where they got married in Okinawa, while he tweeted a pic of the rings and another of Daizengar instead.
Hopefully one day him and all his family will reconvert to islam so hopefully we all manage to go to paradise and do some mecha races together. That’s the best thing I can wish him after getting married.
As I’ve been using twitter a lot recently, I noticed something. It’s impressive how there’s a lot of anime/game fans who are racist or dumb, both in France or USA or many other countries. It’s a worldwide phenomenon, I wonder why. Maybe anime really was a mistake.
Of course there’s those who aren’t actually racist, the meme group, who will say “I’m only doing it “ironically” because I have fun doing it” but I still think that’s dumb, and dangerous. But well anyone is free to live their lives however they want. I think It’s one of the sad consequences of people thinking they’re anonymous on the net and thus don’t think before acting.
Also it’s really fun seeing racist kids reel in shock when hearing a black person or a muslim are playing games as well. They really think we aren’t human beings. I guess that’s what happen when they keep believing everything they see on mass media and don’t think for themselves. Then there’s the ones who genuinely support Trump, and aren’t part of the meme group I described above.
After the terrorist attack in a church on 26th july, a muslim french guy tweeted « if needed, we’ll go defend churches ». A christian french guy replied ”and if needed, we’ll defend your mosques”. Original tweets here.
Was pretty fun how tons of well known racists against blacks or islamophobes French politicians went out to say stuff like “we lost a great guy” etc. The same politicians who call “radicalized” or “communotarist” anyone who currently do the same thing as Muhammad Ali, condemning and denouncing the government’s or the media’s racism. Trump tweeting about it was hilarious too.
I don’t really watch TV so only saw one or two reports of his death on French TVmedia, but most of them completely missed the point or/and really didn’t accentuate enough how he was a Muslim and fighting racism etc. And seeing the climate of state&media islamophobia currently in France I definitely think it was on purpose. They said stuff like he joined Nation of Islam without mentioning how it was a scam sect and not real Islam and how he got into real Islam later. They talk about how he got stripped of his champion titles without saying that’s because he said he’s not gonna go kill Vietnamese people who never did anything bad to him. While Americans keep being racist and treat him and others like trash. And how he was already at war in America anyway, and would rather die fighting racist Americans than die in Vietnam, and that he doesn’t care going to jail because he and others blacks are already in jail in america for 400 years.
They mentioned how “he had an oversized ego” without getting the point that it was an act as a boxer, without mentioning interviews when he said stuff like “Allah is the greatest and I’m just the greatest boxer”. They mentioned his match against Foreman without mentioning his interview after it where he said “I proved that Allah is God”. They mentioned how he refused that his star be put in Hollywood boulevard, without precising that’s it’s just on a wall, because he said “I bear the name of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and it is impossible that I allow people to trample over his name”.
In short I don’t think french media accentuate enough that he was someone who never backed down in fear of loosing money or his career etc and who always fought for peace& the sake of others black and/or muslims like him and everyone else victim of racism. And I think french media does this in purpose so most people won’t realize how french politicians are full of racism or islamophobia, left or right parties alike.
French politicians are currently trying to better their image. They know the world currently has it’s eyes on France, with the floods in Paris&it’s region and with Soccer Euro 2016 starting soon. (I’m not affected by the floods don’t worry, though I am skipping classes a lot these days because of trains affected by it). Also for now I haven’t seen any French politicians running for presidency wish Muslims a happy Ramadan or stuff like that. Doing it right now would be politically suicidal. They would be accused of “communotarism”. Speaking of stuff like that, I still remember how hilarious it was when a few years ago Jean-François Copé, a right politician well known for his hate of Muslims, married an “arab looking” woman, and then published an official paper saying I DIDN’T CONVERT TO ISLAM DON’T WORRY GUYS KEEP VOTING FOR ME PLZ.

Her seiyuu Mizutani Yuuko died a few days ago, and now Muhammad Ali died too. Stuff like this makes you realize anyone can die anytime.

inb4 I get my appartment police searched for “taking strategical pictures with intention of acts of terrorism using skating little girls”. I wouldn’t put it past the current France.
You could think I’m exaggerating, but after the November attacks there’s been thousands of baseless houses searches against Muslims. Even though all the terrorists from the Novembers attacks where reported by their friends or family to be drinking people, doing drugs, etc, who’d never go to the mosque or care about islam.
A lot of people got their houses sacked, a lot of restaurants or shops owned by muslims were police raided as well. It’s scary and sad, and you feel bad for all the victims. But the governments actions are so stupid it became funny as well. Like policemen breaking appartements or restaurants’ doors, even though they’re open, just to cause more damage. A lot of people were put under house arrest as well, under baseless claims, with the obligation of going to a particular police station two times a day.

In December 10th 2015, the house of a man known for his islamophobic positions on Facebook was searched. The police found 17 guns, more than 3,500 rounds and 4.9 kg of black powder. He was never put on house arrest.
There’s been a lot of vandalism or even actual gun or molotov attacks against mosques. There’s also the growing Islamophobia in Corsica.
Then starting December 2015, the French government started targeting ecologists as well, to prevent them from demonstrating against the COP 21 etc. A lot of them got their farms sacked etc.
There’s a lot of people in France who don’t fight islamophobia because they think it’s not their problem for one reason or another. Or journalists who keeps propagation of amalgams against islam to make money. Because journalism is a business, and islamophobia sells more than tits in a Seo manga. The thing is they need to understand if you don’t fight injustice, it’ll keep growing and sooner or later the same thing will happen to you.

Me during first day of notwork. Had to take a coffee for normalbuta socializing while I never do and my stomach can’t handle it. Probably the only time I drink coffee is when it’s Eid and friends offer me some. I don’t know how some people can sleep at night knowing they don’t wash their butt with water after pooping.

I’m ok btw. I’m not too scared even though again it could have happened to me. It’s something different than being insensitive. Of course I’m sad. But I’m not sure if it’s a good thing to be sadder about deaths simply because it happened at 15 minutes by car rather than in another country. I’m as sad as when I hear bad things at the news everyday. Maybe I’m wrong.
I’m not too scared either by how anti muslim sentiments will grow again. I believe everything will go allright in the end and it’s useless worrying. And at least now I can tell myself that’s why I can’t find a job and just play Yoru no Nai Kuni. Just kidding.

The date actually passed months ago, it’s around May. Usually that’s during my exam period so I never have the time to actually write something. This year I actually had time, so I wanted to write a really long post full of random things, but in the end I gave up on it. Maybe I’ll recuperate some parts of the draft like the stuff on games, anime and manga and make individual posts.
I haven’t posted about PriPara or anything recently because I have internet problems. I admit though, seeing how the show is only funny every 7 episodes or so, I’m not that in a hurry to watch it. For Pretty Rhythm stuff, I’m still planning to translate more of the guidebooks. I should finish translating the PRASS guidebook interviews before the end of 2015 if God wills it.
Also they announced a new OTR album to be released on December 23rd, and blurays for DMF. Box 1 is October 16th. Box 2 is December 18th. DMF will probably sell even less than the AD blurays, while RL is the most popular season in Japan, so they’ll definitely do blurays for RL too. The PriPara movie got released on bd/dvd, so we can finally see the Pretty Rhythm parts in it. Haven’t seen it yet myself.
If you ever checked my pictures in old Pretty Rhythm posts, you may have noticed how I tag them prad+number. Back when Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream was airing, when I saved pics related to it, I’d tag them “prad”, which is the show’s initials. When Dear My Future started, I started tagging things related to it as “prad2”. Etc. Basically “prad” became my general tag for anything Pretty Rhythm related. It’s much easier to use the search function that way. So I name files that way:
prad= Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream
prad2= Dear My Future
prad3= Rainbow Live
prad4= All Star Selection and movie 1
prad5= PriPara
One more thing. I used to have an obsolete version of MPC, and I couldn’t take screenshots with it. So all my screencaps in old Pretty Rhythm posts are copypasted on paint, and are in 1080p instead of the show’s actual 720p. I’m warning you in case you’re a meticulous about screencaps person who feels like wasting hours of your life deleting pictures you saved from my blog and taking them again at the correct resolution. I updated MPC when PriPara started so starting PriPara posts, the screencaps are the in the show’s actual resolution.
There should be an official summary of the G Reco Gundam Café event from last month soon. I like G Reco, so when I heard about it last month, I just translated what I found so I can read it and keep it. Then I thought I’d be a waste to keep it for myself and decided to post it here too. Basically the same reasoning that’s behind my Pretty Rhythm related translations. I’m not doing it for you or anything. Moreover, I thought big news site like ANN would post about the event right away too. ANN still haven’t said anything about it. If I knew I’d be the only person who would post about the event in English, and get into a spotlight, I wouldn’t have posted about it. It’s incredible how mad some people got about G Reco being after Turn A. It’s like they got told Tomino both killed their cat and ate their fries when they were a kid. It’s disheartening to see people get so worked up over it.
